AVALANCHE RELEASED A
TOTAL OF 2
ALBUMS. The first one named: "AVALANCHE"
was released 1989. This album included AVALANCHE'S big hit "Johnny,
Johnny come home" & "I will wait". JOHNNY JOHNNY
COME HOME reached "number one" in several countries
including FRANCE, SPAIN & GERMANY. Additionally "Johnny, Johnny
come home" was among
TOP-10 in a number of other European and Asian countries....The next album came in 1992
and was called "WESTBOUND"
This second album included hit songs like
YOUNG GUNS & FROM HERE TO BERLIN. IN 1995-96
AVALANCHE stayed for a longer period in south of France where
they worked on new material. During this stay
they wrote "SANTA MARIA" wich was
recorded by two artists later on. The first to record
SANTA MARIA was the female singer
TATJANA and was produced by
"Stock&Aitken", SANTA MARIA hit the charts hard in Japan and
also reached nr. 1,
"club charts" in the U.K. SANTA MARIA was simply a world hit The
secord artist recording "SANTA MARIA" was
SAMANTHA FOX who
used "SANTA MARIA" as a comeback single.
SANTA MARIA was also used as the "Official
Olympic game jingle" in NAGANO 1996 . LATE 90's
AVALANCHE took a break from the music industry, but
continued to write music. Among several projects they launched
their "SIDE STEP MANEUVER", called
K+K,
wich initially was an
artistic experiment... but K+K turned out to be
a project featured on several different compilations (see below)

Songs from
K+K is/was also used in
films and a German TV documentary. Besides "K+K"
AVALANCHE has been producing lots of other European
artists from their home-base in Hamburg, but In 2002
AVALANCHE moved back to Norway. They now live
peacefully on the countryside outside Oslo and works with material
for a brand new AVALANCHE album planned for 2006. |
